Wow, where did the time go? I can’t believe Melanie is already two weeks old! It’s been really fun to have her in our lives. We love to just look at her and see who she looks like, seems like it changes every day.
I haven’t had much time or energy to update as often as I’d like. So here is a recap of our lives so far. September is a busy birthday month for us. Shortly after Melanie was born we celebrated Marc’s birthday (9/8). Then we celebrated Auntie Heather’s birthday a few days later (9/11). And most recently we celebrated my Dad’s birthday (9/14). We are all party’d out!
Other events that have occurred: Melanie’s first Pizza Party in the hospital where she met Mommy’s side of the family. Then that same weekend she met Daddy’s side of the family. Melanie had her first bath, it went pretty well. She didn’t cry that much, we had to be careful because her umbilical cord didn’t fall off yet. Which leads to the next event, her umbilical cord fell off. Yaye one less thing for mommy and daddy to worry about! We also had two postpartum visits since she lost a little bit of birth weight and her first doctor’s appointment. All appointments went well and she’s on track to gaining back her birth weight.
